Background

The Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) in collaboration with the University of Technology, Mauritius (UTM) is running the following two Oracle-certified courses under the Workforce Development Program.

(i)    Java SE 8 Fundamentals

(ii)   Oracle Database SQL

This training is aligned with the skills needs of the industry.

Objectives of the project

The broad objectives of this project are to:

• Bridge the gap between available skills in the current labour market and industry requirements through industry certifications in ICT;
• Provide candidates with the opportunity to upgrade their skills and knowledge in industry focused technologies; and
• Improve the employability of ICT graduates.
