LATEST COMMUNIQUE - COVID-19 Lockdown

 

COMMUNIQUE 3 - EXTENSION OF DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF G3 APPLICATION DUE TO COVID-19 LOCKDOWN

Employers are informed that the deadline for submission of  G3 applications for all courses which ended during the period 1st July 2020 to 31st December 2020 has been extended to Monday 31 May 2021.

The deadline for submission for other incentives (Foreign Expertise Scheme, TNA, Multimedia, etc) has also been extended up to Monday 31 May 2021.

Employers are kindly advised to submit their applications for refund within the deadline date to assist us in the timely processing and payment of grant before the end of the present financial year ending on 30 June 2021.

COMMUNIQUE 2 - RESUMPTION OF FACE TO FACE TRAINING BY REGISTERED TRAINING INSTITUTIONS/EMPLOYERS

Registered Training Institutions and Employers are hereby informed that, following the partial lifting of the lockdown taking effect as from 01 April 2021, face to face training is not allowed until further notice from the Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology to that effect.

COMMUNIQUE 1

The HRDC hereby informs all its stakeholders that during the COVID-19 lockdown effective in Mauritius as from 10th March 2021, it will provide its services via its online systems. HRDC staff will be working from home using all available technologies to ensure business continuity.

  • Registered Training Institutions (RTIs) and Employers can continue submitting applications for approval of course fee for non-award courses, including online courses, to the HRDC during lockdown.
  • Employers and Registered Training Institutions (RTIs) are informed that face-to-face training is not allowed during lockdown. Employers and Registered Training Institutions (RTIs) are advised to follow instructions of the authorities on when they would be able to resume face-to-face training.
  • NSDP & NTRS: As per Government’s directive, training under the NSDP and the NTRS have been interrupted. Beneficiaries and prospective beneficiaries will be informed of the resumption of training programmes in due course.
