Refund of e-Learning Licences under the Training Levy / Grant System
Employers contributing to the Training Levy are hereby informed that the Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) is now considering the refund of the cost for e-learning licences under the Training Grant System. This incentive will encourage employees to learn at their own pace and space and will enable them to have access to a multiplicity of online courses.
Employers will be eligible to claim refund of the cost of e-learning licences under the following conditions:
- The licence must be purchased directly from the following digital learning platforms: Udemy, Coursera, Udacity, Linkedin, Pluralsight, Class Central and edX;
- The licences are meant for courses up to Diploma level;
- The employer must submit the G1 application form to inform the HRDC of its intention to purchase the licence together with a quotation for the licence and its duration;
- The refund of the cost for the licence will be effected subject to successful completion of the courses and submission of relevant documents; and
- The refund will be subject to the annual grant ceiling of the employer and at the rate of refund, as appropriate.
The refund for the cost of e-learning licences will be effective from 01 April 2021.
Note: All other conditions and criteria remain unchanged.
