As one of the measures to address unemployment and skills mismatch among graduates, the Ministry of Education and Human Resources, Tertiary Education and Scientific Research and the Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) with the joint collaboration of the Private Sector have initiated the Graduate Training for Employment Scheme (GTES). Under this scheme, 4 leading ICT companies in Mauritius - namely Accenture Mauritius, Agileum, Ceridian and Orange Business Services - have come forward with a Postgraduate Diploma course in IT, developed with the support of the University of Technology, Mauritius (UTM) and Ceridian Learning Centre.

The Postgraduate Diploma course in IT was officially launched by Mrs Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun, Minister of Education and Human Resources, Tertiary Education and Scientific Research on Tuesday 23 February 2016 at the Conference Hall, 1st Floor, Cyber Tower 1, Ebène.
