The Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) in collaboration with Business Mauritius and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) are conducting a national study on employee engagement. This project is in line with some of the HRDC strategic objectives concerning human resource development from a national perspective. This survey will help to gather key Human Resource Management (HRM) information to supplement Human Resource Development (HRD) policies and strategies at national level. The duration of the project is estimated to be 6 - 9 months.
Desired outcomes of the project
The national survey on employee engagement will allow benchmarking the engagement levels within industrial sectors and with other countries. The results will be used as evidence-based inputs to enable the organisation to work on solutions to engage their employees. At sectoral and national levels, the results will help to draft policies and come up with strategies to address disengagement and further engage the workforce. Retention rates and staff turnover will eventually be tackled through implementation of different targeted solutions.
