Launching of a four-day training for Senior Educators in careers education, information, advice and guidance
The Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) is looking into the setting up of an Integrated Career Counselling System which will ensure easy access to meaningful career information and services for all Mauritian citizens, including young people, job seekers, parents, job changers, career advisers and teachers. This project is in line with the Government Programme 2010-2015.
As part of the first phase in the implementation of the Integrated Career Counselling System, the HRDC in collaboration with the Ministry of Education & Human Resources, Tertiary Education & Scientific Research is organising a four-day training programme for some 80 Senior Educators from both private and state secondary schools. The objective is to empower Senior Educators to provide careers education and career information to their students.
The launching will be conducted by The Honourable (Mrs) Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun, Minister of Education and Human Resources, Tertiary Education and Scientific Research.
