Press Conference on the Innovative Project on Micro-Mechanics for the Jewellery, Watch & Diamond Sector
The Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) will hold a press conference following the launching of the Innovative Project on Micro-Mechanics for the Jewellery, Watch & Diamond Sector. The event will be held on Wednesday 05 November 2014 at 13 30 hours at the HRDC, 4th Floor, NG Tower, Cybercity, Ebène. It will be addressed by the Director of HRDC, Mr Raj Auckloo, Manager Research & Consultancy Division of HRDC, Dr Harris Neeliah, Director of MEXA, Ms Lilowtee Rajmun, Chairman of the Jewellery, Diamonds & Watch Sub-Committee of MEXA, Mr Sanjeev Chakowa, and consultants from L’Ecole de Greta, Mr Philippe Leduc and Mr Julien Charpy.
The press conference falls within the framework of the in-house training sessions held in some 8 – 10 medium-sized enterprises whereby training needs were recognized. The training sessions were meant to enhance the competencies and skills of the existing technicians and to assess any further specific training needs in terms of Micro-Mechanics. Working sessions were also organized at Universities for young students who are pursuing their studies in Micro-Mechanics and related fields.
